B.A (Professional Audio Production)

Introduction:

Audio Production profession surrounds with creation and manipulation of music and creative sounds.Music production & post-production are the distinct specializations available in the field of audio production. Post-production intensification’s Sound, Sound Design (Sound Effects/Foley/Ambience),
Dubbing and Mixing in Surround Sound. Music production involves Composing / Arranging, MIDI
Programming, Recording & Editing and Mixing & Mastering.
Nowadays technology is getting advanced day by day. Analog system has been taken over by digital
technology, and it is updating every day. Every music & sound aspirant should take formal and
progressive education which gives in-depth knowledge and practical angles of this profession.

Objectives:

  1. Understand nature & behavior of sound in the acoustic and electric domain.
  2. Judge room acoustics & become more attentive towards the sound.
  3. Identify studio equipment and signal flow in the studio .
  4. Understand concepts and terminology used in music production, post-production and live sound.
  5. Fundamental understanding of concepts of non-linear video editing.
  6. Apply core concepts and skills needed to operate a Pro Tools | Ultimate system in a professional
    studio environment.
  7. Record and Mix sound in a commercial studio with competitive quality

  2. Labs with the most recent version of Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) and Plug-ins.
  3. Training on the entire curriculum of Avid Pro Tools and other Avid suites of audio products.
  4. Mixing work flows using Avid S6 control surface.
  5. Dolby work flows for producing immersive Dolby Atmos mixes.
  6. Reference materials for students through an online portal.

    environment.

    studios and post-production houses.
  5. Collaborate with composers, arrangers, musicians and directors confidently.

Candidates having minimum 10+2 (H.S.C) qualification (Any stream)

Semester pattern – External – 40%, Internal – 60% & 50% passing
