B.A (Photography)

Introduction:

Our professional photography program is designed to equip you with all the creative as well as technical proficiencies and in association with industry experts. The course provides exhaustive knowledge and training in order to foster skilled based professional photographers. The mission of the program is to prepare students for careerist field of professional photography.

Objectives:

• To have in-depth understanding and knowledge about photography as a profession.
• To plan and execute the creation of photographic imagery following an interactive process of ideation,       visualization, analysis, production and evaluation
• To incorporate the knowledge of photography theories, principles and historical practices into the               conceptualization and development of effective photographs
• To produce photographic images which reflect critical understanding of contemporary visual culture

• Develop concepts and ideas for selected specialization genres in photography.
• On field experience and building a strong portfolio.
• Detailed study of various types of light source and its implementation
• In-depth knowledge of Commercial & Advertisement Photography (Fashion / Table Top / Event     /Wedding / Industrial / Architecture).
• Basic study of digital marketing and promotion.
• Use of variety of technologies and processes to capture, manipulate output and manage                       photographic images
• Students’ exhibition and showcase.

Eligibility :

12th pass from any stream with minimum of 50% marks

Duration :

3 years (Six Semesters)

Evaluation Method :

60% Internal & 40% External, 50% passing
