Fashion communication is one of the newest & most exciting avenues of fashion & lifestyle industry . It includes creating and facilitating communication for the fashion industry – verbal, written, visual or audiovisual.
Being the communication between designer/brands and the consumer, it starts with a concept based on the designer’s vision.
The start to end of a brand is structured and executed by professionals in this industry- From understanding consumer requirements & creating value proposition to satisfy it, Building brand identity/personality which creates the look , feel and touch of the product line using visuals created through styling & photography, Advertising & Brand positioning which enables brands to communicate their products to their target market with the aim to extend the reach of their identity and goes on to deal with Marketing Strategies, Social Media Management, PR & Experiences which build the sales of the brand and community relation.
Objectives:
- Giving visual communication direction to a designer’s work, a product or a brand
- Understanding consumer expectations and market expectations for the promotion of any product
- Understanding the role of visuals in the field of fashion and the working of design elements towards the creation of a comprehensive project
- Exposure to the fashion industry and the changing trends and directions
- Written communication for media covering the fashion and lifestyle sector
- Conceptualizing and marketing a brand according to industry standards and catering to the necessary requirements including visual merchandising, graphic design, styling and photography, visual layouts and design, public relations, event management, creative writing, and advertising
- To make the student a professional in Modern Media Management in all aspects
