Department of Journalism & Mass Communication

This department is an opening to the world of media and digital arts. With a dominant knowledge-based society, we have to capture significant opportunities for our young thinking brains. To address this, we started several courses based on the foundation of practical, theoretical and analytical approaches of current trends in mass communication. TMV established this department in the year 2006-07. We are following the guidelines prescribed by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Courses are designed to equip students to find exciting and creative careers in the growing business of the media industry.

We believe in preparing aspiring students and professionals in most of the fields in media and digital arts, by delivering excellent Postgraduate, Graduate, Diploma and Certificate programs in television, film, radio, journalism and animation. We provide art based knowledge of digital design, VFX, SFX, 2D, 3D animation, and current understanding of acting, drawing and painting techniques. Thus fulfilling the Mass communication’s responsibility to educate, inform and entertain the masses.
